October Fun
Hello Friends,
I know.....its been a while. The month of October has been super busy for me.....report card testing, unit testing  and professional development.

This month the little kinders have been busy learning about pumpkins and spiders and community helpers. This is one of my favorite months.

Hello Friends! Can you believe how fast the school year is going by? Two weeks ago the little kinders learned about friends. I got this cute anchor chart from pinterest. One of their favorite books for the week was Don't Need Friends.
Last week, the little kinders learned about their five senses. We did several activities. I decided to introduce science journals this week. I found the cutest journal activity.  Check out Caitlyn at http://kindergartensmiles.blogspot.com/

We did a anchor chart on the five senses. I found this idea on pinterest and also saw the idea on Vickie's blog at http://plantspress.blogspot.com/

The taste test was a huge hit.

My class is working on their phonemic awareness skills. I found this cute activity on Deanna's blog. Check this out at http://mrsjumpsclass.blogspot.com/

During the first month of school I like to read the book, Miss Nelson is Missing to my kinders. I was so excited to find this book today at Books a Million. I lost my copy in the January tornado. After reading the book we create a graphic organizer about Miss Nelson's class and Ms Poole's class. This school year I plan to add more activities. Julie Lee  http://mrsleeskinderkids.blogspot.com/   has created a resource pack of ideas to go with this book. I plan to add some of these activities this fall.
